Job overview

The AI & Transformation team is looking for an AI Software Engineer to design, build, and ship production-grade AI systems used by hundreds of colleagues every day. You'll work directly with the Tech Lead, Product Owner, and business teams across Finance, Sales, HR, and Professional Services — translating complex processes into agentic workflows that are testable, auditable, and built to last.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, build, and ship production AI agents, RAG pipelines, MCP server integrations, and Fast API services

• Work with the Tech Lead and Product Owner, and directly with all business teams across Finance, Sales, HR, and Professional Services

• Read, challenge, and refine technical specs before writing code; translate business processes into agentic workflow designs that are testable and auditable

• Version and manage prompts and agent configs with the same rigor applied to code

• Participate in code reviews on both sides: give structured feedback and receive it

• Contribute to AI enablement across the organization through demos, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions

• Participate in internal hackathons and experiment with emerging AI models, architectures, and design patterns

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience building AI/LLM-based systems, with shipped systems and real artefacts to show

• Strong expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, with a focus on building reliable and high-performing knowledge-driven AI solutions

• Strong expertise in designing and deploying scalable LLM-powered solutions, with a focus on building robust, production-ready generative AI systems aligned with business needs

• Strong knowledge of agentic design patterns and architectures, including multi-agent collaboration strategies, tool integration, and production-ready agent-based solutions

• Expertise in implementing observability strategies for AI applications, including monitoring system performance, tracking agent workflows, and analysing quality metrics

• Proficiency in AI-assisted and agentic coding practices, using tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude as daily productivity multipliers

• Experience developing scalable AI-powered applications combining software engineering best practices, cloud technologies, and production-ready system design

Preferred Qualifications

• LLM fine-tuning experience

• Self-hosted LLM experience (Ollama, Qwen, or similar)
