Job overview
We are seeking a US HR Advisor with a solid grounding in US employment law, compliance, and HR operations to help deliver HR services to our US employee population. This individual will be a key contributor to US HR delivery, supporting compliance, accuracy, and excellence across all processes with guidance from the Global Head of HR Operations. The ideal candidate brings exposure to PEO environments (ADP TotalSource a plus), hands-on experience supporting payroll and benefits administration, and the initiative to work with autonomy on day-to-day tasks while partnering with global HR and payroll colleagues.
Responsibilities and Duties
US HR Support
Contribute to the delivery of US HR processes, supporting compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Provide day-to-day guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, escalating complex matters as needed.
Help maintain and update the US employee handbook and HR policy framework, flagging where evolving legislation requires change.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of employee data within the HR Information System (HRIS - HiBob), including timely entry, updates, and audits of personnel records.
Maintain compliance with data governance standards and support regular data quality reviews to identify and correct inconsistencies.
Collaborate with HR teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow across systems and processes.
Onboarding & Offboarding
Coordinate the US onboarding process from offer acceptance to first-day readiness, ensuring an exceptional employee experience.
Add, maintain, and revoke employee information in both the HRIS system and the ADP TotalSource system (PEO)
Ensure compliance with work authorization requirements (I-9 and E-Verify), including periodic audits.
Track probation periods via HRIS data; coordinate with People Managers to monitor progress and support extensions where required; inform the HR Business Partner of any identified risk.
Manage the offboarding process from accepted resignation, ensuring compliance and proper coordination with payroll, benefits, and IT, including HRIS offboarding with automatic triggers to Payroll and IT; issue exit surveys as part of the offboarding process.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
Support US benefits administration, including health & welfare programs, leave policies, and employee inquiries. Assist with 401(k) plan administration, including eligibility and enrollments, and provide supporting data for plan audits and compliance filings, which are owned by the Global Head of HR Operations.
Partner closely with the Global Payroll Manager to prepare and review payroll, checking calculations and deductions for accuracy and supporting compliance.
Act as a day-to-day contact for the PEO (ADP TotalSource), supporting accurate data management and reporting.
Compliance & Risk Management
Monitor changes to US employment law and support the updating of policies and practices.
Coordinate compliance activities including mandatory trainings, reporting, and audits.
Maintain employee records with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with federal and state requirements.
Employee Relations & Support
Act as the first point of contact for US HR queries, ensuring consistent application of policies and escalating complex matters to the HR Business Partner.
Support managers on employee relations matters, performance management, and development conversations.
Ensure a fair, compliant, and respectful approach to issue resolution.
Provide documentation and coordination support on formal employee relations cases, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), which are led by the HR Business Partner; maintain the ER templates and guidance tools issued by the HR Business Partner.
Maintain the ER case management tracker; provide regular updates to HR Business Partners and collaborate to identify opportunities to reduce future cases.
HR Strategy & Projects
Contribute to US HR projects aligned with global HR priorities, such as engagement initiatives, compensation reviews, and process improvements.
Provide US-specific HR insights, reporting, and data analysis to inform leadership decision-making.
Partner with global HR colleagues to ensure alignment of practices and sharing of best practices
Support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), compliance, and audit-related requests in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Global HR Support & Partnership
Share US process documentation and templates with HR Operations colleagues in other geographies; HR delivery outside the US is owned by the Global Head of HR Operations.
Help document and improve US HR processes to drive efficiency and consistency across the global HR Operations team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
4+ years of HR generalist or HR operations experience with working knowledge of US HR laws and regulations.
Demonstrated experience supporting employees across multiple US states, with working knowledge of how state and local requirements differ across wage and hour, paid leave, and final pay rules.
Hands-on experience completing and correcting Form I-9 and administering E-Verify, including internal audit and remediation practices.
Exposure to working with PEOs (ADP preferred).
Familiarity with 401(k) plan administration.
Working knowledge of US leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodation requests, and state paid-leave programs.
Experience supporting payroll processing or reviewing payroll data for accuracy.
Ability to work independently on day-to-day HR tasks, with sound judgment on when to escalate.
HRIS experience with a focus on data integrity and accuracy (HiBob experience a plus); some exposure to employee relations casework, including PIPs.
Communication proficiency & Results-oriented

The estimated base salary range for this role is $75,000+ USD, which represents a good-faith estimate of the compensation for this position.
Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, internal equity, and the geographic location in which the role is performed. Compensation may vary for roles performed in different locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for variable compensation (such as a performance bonus or commission), benefits, and/or participation in other incentive or benefit plans, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and retirement benefits, subject to eligibility requirements.
