The Role:
We are now hiring for an Compliance Manager with significant experience in eInvoicing Regulations and experience of working with e-invoicing regulators covering Europe and US.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyse international tax regulations, electronic invoicing laws, and other relevant legislative requirements across various countries and jurisdictions.
- Conduct thorough research and stay up-to-date with evolving regulations, laws, and industry best practices related to e-invoicing, e-archiving, VAT, GST, e-commerce, and e-signature compliance.
- Advise on the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's e-invoicing, e-archiving and expense management solutions, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and legal departments, to ensure that the company's software solutions adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Validate the compliance of the company's products and services with applicable laws and regulations, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on compliance-related processes, procedures, and policies.
- Act as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all external customer communications regarding the company's compliance status and activities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, webinars, and meetings, delivering presentations and engaging with customers, partners, and regulatory authorities on compliance-related matters.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams and customers on compliance-related topics, ensuring a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and their implications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a compliance-related role, preferably within the software or technology industry.
- In-depth knowledge of international tax regulations, electronic invoicing laws, and related compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Fluent English speaker, with proficiency in multiple languages (in particular French) highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for research, documentation, and compliance management.
